34052 'Lord Dowding' & 47746 with Steam Dreams 'Cathedrals Express' 7th March 2017

On a spring like morning Steam Dreams (STDR) ran "The Cathedrals Express" from Ely to Bristol Temple Meads via Cambridge and Hanwell on the GW Mainline where the diesel locomotive was replaced by steam locomotive 34046 "Braunton" masquerading as 34052 "Lord Dowding", this being a replacement for the booked 46100 which is unavailable at present. The steam locomotive then hauled the train running as 1Z37 down the mainline to Reading, Newbury, Hawkeridge Jn and Bath to it's destination at Bristol Temple Meads. I captured the outward leg at the busy Southcote Junction in Reading as she took the "Berks & Hants" route towards Westbury. I remained there after for a while and have included some traditional freight services and passenger trains before the scene changes to electrification.
